A garden room is the cheapest way to add usable space to a home without moving or extending into the house. Done well it is a warm, dry, year-round office or studio; done badly it is a damp shed with a power socket. The base and the insulation decide which you get.
Start with a proper base
Every structure we install sits on a level, well-drained base sized for the building, a concrete pad, ground screws or a timber-framed platform. A good base keeps the floor dry, the doors square and the building level for its whole life.
Rooms you can use all year
For a true garden room we build insulated walls, floor and roof, with proper glazing and the option of power, lighting and heating, so it works as an office or studio in January as well as July. A summer house is a lighter, seasonal alternative when that is all you need.
Storage that doesn't rot
Even a straightforward shed lasts far longer on a level base with airflow and good felting or roofing. We site, level and build storage so the contents stay dry and the door still opens in five years' time.

Most garden rooms fall under permitted development if single-storey, under 2.5m high near a boundary, and not covering more than half the garden. Sleeping accommodation, or builds in conservation areas, can need permission, we check first.
